More than 2,000 votes have been cast so far in the Leicester Mercury's Win a
Wedding competition.

The competition, which runs until April 13, allows engaged couples in
Leicestershire to enter for the chance to win a £12,000 wedding.

It attracted 109 entries.

As part of the list of prizes, Michelle Harding-Foster, of Pulse Dance
Company, which runs classes in Fosse Neighbourhood Centre, will be giving 10
lessons to the lucky couple so that they can be ready for their first dance.

Michelle also runs a personal training and nutrition business, called MHF
Studios, in Saffron Lane, and a dance fitness business called Latin Fitness
Camp, which runs classes in Blaby, Narborough, South Wigston and Raw Dykes
Road.

Michelle, 28, said: "I've been dancing since I was about four years old, so
for about 24 years. I went to university to do performing arts and I got into
teaching.

"This led to me taking over Latin Fitness Camp, which was set up about five
years ago, and I have now been running for three years."

She set up MHF Studios in October 2014, and Pulse in January of this year
after receiving requests from her customers to give them dance lessons for
weddings.

Michelle is also offering the couple a chance to have a performance at their
wedding by Michelle and her talented dancers.

She said: "I decided to take part in Win a Wedding as the dancing is the
biggest part of the business for me. Plus, it gives me a chance to give
something back and promotes what I love doing the most.

"I don't do it a lot, but when I do it means so much to me. It's absolutely
amazing to be a part of people's weddings.

"At first, they say they can't dance and then, a few lessons later, they're
doing really experienced moves.

"As a dancer, I know how it feels when you're performing really well and
people are really impressed when they watch you.

"To know that I helped them get there is a really wonderful feeling."

Online and postal votes are now open. Online votes close at midnight on
Saturday, April 9 and postal votes close on Wednesday, April 13.

The winner will be announced on the week commencing April 25.
