UBIC Included among “Visionaries” in Gartner’s 2012 eDiscovery Magic Quadrant
Redwood City, CA – May 29, 2012- UBIC, Inc. (TYO:2158), a pioneer in Asian-language eDiscovery,
announced today that it had been included among the “visionaries” in Gartner’s 2012 eDiscovery Magic
Quadrant. As defined by Gartner, visionaries are “either on par with or ahead of the market in terms of
their product offerings.”
UBIC provides cross- border eDiscovery and digital forensics solutions and services, covering fullspectrum
EDRM for international corporations, their U.S. subsidiaries and their U.S. law firms.
Gartner’s report entitled, “The 2012 eDiscovery Magic Quadrant: The Ground Has Shifted” was issued
on May 24, 2012. The report noted that visionaries share the following characteristics: offer fullspectrum
EDRM coverage; show a strong commitment to continued innovation through investment in
technical development; and have a favorable mix of corporate clients, law firms and service providers.
Citing the company’s strengths, Gartner noted that UBIC is “uniquely competent in Asian-language
processing and review and has full-spectrum EDRM capability ranging from identification through
production.” The report also noted that UBIC has a specialization in Asian languages and a strong
presence in Japan, Korea and Taiwan, with local data centers, skilled staff and a U.S. presence.
